ADP5091-2-EVALZ

The ADP5091-2-EVALZ is an evaluation board for ADP5091 ultra-low power energy harvesting PMU with solar harvester and super capacitor. The ADP5091 is a 2 channel, intelligent, integrated energy harvesting, ultralow power management unit (PMU) solution that converts DC power from PV cells or TEGs. It charges storage elements such as rechargeable Li-Ion batteries, thin film batteries, super capacitors or conventional capacitors and power up small electronic devices and battery free systems. This demonstration platform is a plug and play evaluation board for energy harvesting. It includes photovoltaic panel and all of power management to enable device to be powered using energy harvesting. It is based on Alta Device PV cell and ADP5091 energy harvesting power management IC. The demonstration platform converts light energy to electrical energy. The PV panel converts light to 0.8V electrical energy. The ADP5091 boosts input voltage from 0.8V to 3.5V and stores energy in a supercapacitor.
