RC1240

The RC1240 is a 433.05MHz to 434.79MHz narrow band multichannel RF transceiver module. This is a compact surface mounted high performance module for 25KHz narrow band FSK operation with embedded protocol. The module is completely shielded and precertified for operation under the European and US radio regulations for license free use. When used with quarter wave antennas a line of sight range of 2Km to 4Km can be achieved at 433MHz. The module contains a communication controller with embedded RC232 protocol software, a narrow band high performance RF transceiver and an internal voltage regulator. This module offers a buffered packet radio as well as an unbuffered transparent mode in the RC232 embedded protocol. Using the buffered packet radio mode, all data to be sent is stored in the module before they are transmitted by the RF circuitry. The module can be set in SLEEP mode or OFF mode in order to reduce the power consumption.
